This Japanese-inspired, neon-lit eatery on Flinders Lane is always hard-to-book – now it’s giving you access to members-only tables.

 

There’s an indefinable X-factor at Supernormal that makes people return again and again. Inside, find a buzzy dining room filled with Japanese snack vending machines, vibrant neon lights and a basement karaoke room. China, Korea and Japan are the menu’s primary influences.

 

Our top picks are Sichuan-style chicken and prawn dumplings, sticky Korean rice cakes, saucy roast lamb shoulder and a melt-in-your-mouth chocolate and peanut butter parfait.
