This bustling Flinders Lane restaurant is one of Andrew McConnell’s most popular restaurants – now it’s giving you access to members-only tables.

 

Cumulus Inc. was one of the first Melbourne restaurants to offer casual all-day dining at a high culinary level. In the marble-lined, light-filled dining room, diners come for inventive share plates and beautifully executed drinks.

 

Our top picks on the menu are the mussels escabeche sprinkled with smoked paprika and the signature, bone-in slow-roasted lamb shoulder lathered in red pepper sauce and served with crispy chat potatoes. There’s also an incredible wine list to choose from, skewed towards drops from Australia and Spain, with French and Italian bottles making the odd appearance.

 

Upstairs, knock off with a wine or two at the restaurant’s moody wine bar, Cumulus Up.
