Andrew McConnell’s buzzy Gertrude Street wine bar is always hard-to-book – now it’s giving you access to members-only tables.

Walk past Marion on a sunny afternoon and you’ll reliably see the footpath tables packed with people enjoying wine and snacks. Later at night the brick-walled dining room is always busy. With Cumulus Inc. and the nearby Builders Arms Hotel, it’s one of prolific restaurateur Andrew McConnell’s most approachable restaurants, and has one of the most impressive and comprehensive wine lists in Melbourne.

Our top picks on the menu often include the flatbread dipped in creamy fromage blanc; mussels served with ‘nduja, crispy fried bread and aioli; and the roast chicken with seasonal veggies and a side of fries. And we love discovering new orange and minimal-intervention wines on the ever-changing list.

Every day of the week, Marion is giving us access to tables that have been made available for the first time through Broadsheet Access

We’ve got a table for two, every night at 6pm and 8.30pm, reserved just for Access members.

You can book 30 days in advance (and a minimum of two days prior) of your desired booking date.

Check out our other tables at Andrew McConnell’s Cumulus Inc., Cutler & Co., Supernormal, Gimlet and Builders Arms Hotel.
