This elegant CBD institution is always popular – now it’s giving you access to members-only tables.

 

From the same team behind Yellow, Cirrus and Monopole, Bentley Restaurant and Bar is one of Sydney’s most inventive restaurants. Formerly of Surry Hills, the space is now located in the heart of the city on the ground floor of the Radisson Blu. But it operates independently of the hotel, meaning the kitchen team can get as experimental as it likes.

 

There are few restaurants that push culinary boundaries like Bentley does, with dishes such as blacklip abalone with hen of the woods mushroom and roast chicken mayonnaise, or Japanese Koshihikari rice and sea herb. Come at lunch for a two- or three-course meal, or dinner time for à la carte service or a tasting menu (including an all-vegan option).

 

Bentley is also considered to have one of the best wine lists in the country; find rare drops from the likes of Jean Foillard, Jean-François Ganevat and Domaine L’Anglore expertly matched with the food.

 

Our top picks from the menu are kangaroo striploin topped with mushroom and pepperberry; palm heart dressed in almond, pickled corn and yarrow; and the impressive Aquna Murray cod served with salsify and spring garlic.
