This January, So Frenchy So Chic returns to Melbourne’s glorious Werribee Park Mansion and Sydney’s sunny Bicentennial Park for an incredible day of live music, cheese, champagne and, of course, joie de vivre. 

 

This year’s all-French music line-up includes indie-pop singer Pi Ja Ma, award-winning troubadour Rover, and electro artists Kalika and Suzane. If you’ve never heard of them, that’s kind of the point – the festival sets out to introduce Australian audiences to French music they might not otherwise encounter.

 

As always, you can expect a delectable food offering. In Sydney, there’ll be dishes by Glebe favourite Bellevue Cottage and charcuterie hampers from Rosebery’s French eatery Frenchies. And in Melbourne, you’ll be able to feast on plates by L’Hotel Gitan, the Reymond family’s Frederic Bistro, and beloved fromagerie Milk the Cow. Food stalls will boast everything from oysters and lobster rolls to crème brûlée and crepes for dessert.

 

And there will be plenty of bubbles, courtesy of Champagne Lanson – one of France’s oldest champagne houses, dating back to the 1700s – as well as French vino and cocktails.
