Melbourne Art Fair has been a defining fixture on the Australasian cultural calendar for almost four decades now, supporting and promoting living contemporary artists from around the country and the world.

The Fair itself showcases over 60 leading galleries, Indigenous-owned art centres and design studios, with more than 200 artists and designers presenting new and recent work. There will be bold installations, sculpture, experimental video and lively conversations inside an inflatable Bubble – with an emphasis on First Nations artists and women makers. New to this year’s event is FUTUREOBJEKT, a 600-square-metre salon dedicated to collectible design, featuring Broadsheet favourites Beci Orpin, Softer Studio, Jordan Fleming, Denholm and Zachary Frankel.

 

A VIP All Access Pass is your invitation to experience it all – and get entry to some extra-special events along the way. It all starts with the Champagne Bollinger Preview and Opening Night Vernissage on Thursday 19 February, with a champagne bar designed by Brahman Perera – expect brushed brass, soft velvet, and “the faint suggestion that time has melted into fabric. There are collection tours and behind-the-scenes studio visits to join, plus you’ll also get access to the VIP lounge featuring floral art by much-loved Melbourne botanical artist Hattie Molloy.
