Gertrude Street bistro Poodle is throwing a backyard party with DJs and a fire-led feast this Friday. One lucky Broadsheet subscriber will score a free double pass to the event (worth $150), but you’ll need to get in quick.

As part of Broadsheet’s Dine Out festival, groovy Euro-inspired bar and bistro Poodle is turning up the heat, with chef Kyle Nicol (Lilac, Supernormal, Rascal, Hazel) in command. He’ll serve a fire-focused feast for one night only, anchored by suckling pig baguettes cooked over coals on the patio and served smoking hot. You and a mate can also get around protein-heavy entrees – like baked mussels, pastis and parsley butter or charcuterie royale – and brûlée for afters.
