Gather your amigas! It’s almost time for a one-night-only celebration of women-made wines and Mexican food courtesy of Broadsheet’s Dine Out festival. One lucky subscriber will score a table for two at the event (worth $158), but you’ll need to get in quick – and keep an eye on your phone for confirmation.

 

This Thursday, Newtown’s femme-focused wine bar and bottle shop Famelia, by leading sommelier Amelia Birch, is teaming up with the mother-daughter duo behind Hot-Listed Olotl, Blanca Mejia and Blanca Perera, for a hot collab you won’t want to miss.

 

The fiesta centres on a selection of antojitos – Mexican for “small cravings” – from Olotl, showcasing the flavours of the restaurant. For her part, Birch will pair these dishes with a curated flight of women-made wines spotlighting Lauren Hansen’s Bloomfield bottles.
