From August 11–17, Broadsheet’s city-wide food festival, Dine Out, is taking over Sydney. You can expect one-off collabs, unexpected pop-ups, and limited-time offers from the city's most beloved venues.

August 12: Gran Torino, Hosted by Neil Perry and Katya Wachtel

Come for a special family-style feast of antipasti, pasta, mains and sides by the celebrated Aussie chef. Plus, hear Perry in conversation with Broadsheet’s editorial director Katya Wachtel.

 

 

August 13: Attenzione x Mimi Wong

Expect a five-course feast that delivers Wong’s inventive riffs on classic Cantonese flavours. Think fried mochi dumplings, funky skewers and dan dan mussels with longevity noodles.

 

August 14: Masterchef Dream – Some of Ogni’s Dream Dishes

Rashie Hasan and Sarah Tiong are reinventing dishes from where they met – Masterchef – at their diner which draws on Hasan’s Bangladeshi background and Tiong’s Chinese-Malaysian heritage.

 

August 15: New York City’s Chinese Tuxedo Pop-Up at Barangaroo House for Three Nights
Paul Donnelly’s NYC restaurant will be popping up at Rekodo, Barangaroo House’s jazz listening bar. Expect American-Chinese favourites in a banquet-style meal alongside vinyl beats.
