This March, the 24th Biennale of Sydney (titled Ten Thousand Suns) will take over six iconic Sydney locations with transformative art. 

 

To celebrate, Sydney Biennale is hosting a vibrant opening night party called Lights On at White Bay Power Station. It’s the first time the station has been open to the public in 100 years; attendees will be some of the first to experience contemporary art within the space. Expect live music, dancefloors, food trucks, Campari cocktails, installations and performances. 

 

Belgian international dance-pop sensations Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul will be headlining the night in their first-ever Australian performance. They’ll be joined by rising star Vv Pete; local powerhouse Utility & Friends; Gamilaraay rappers T Breeze and Walkerboy; and DJ royalty Halfqueen. 

 

There’ll also be a dancefloor collaboration with El Gran Mono – Melbourne’s first pico soundsystem (giant fluorescent speaker stacks often found in Colombia) – bringing Afro-Caribbean Carnivalesque flare to White Bay.
