Premiere exhibition Data Dreams: Art and AI explores artificial intelligence and its impact on contemporary life through the work of 10 boundary-pushing artists. Everything from chatbots, deepfakes and machine hallucinations to the grimy realities of energy consumption, exploitative labour and embedded bias. And if you have any questions while you’re there, you can always talk with the exhibition itself via the “Artbot”.

A handful of lucky Broadsheet Access members will get the chance to experience all the mind-bending techno creativity with free double passes to the Museum of Contemporary Art show, which runs until April 27.

Spanning a series of atmospheric, interconnected gallery spaces, Data Dreams features immersive installations, AI-generated films, hallucinatory images and mind-expanding sculptures from 10 contemporary artists: Angie Abdilla, Kate Crawford and Vladan Joler, Fabien Giraud, Lynn Hershman Leeson, Christopher Kulendran Thomas, Agnieszka Kurant, Trevor Paglen, Hito Steyerl, and Anicka Yi. Together, their works invite audiences to reflect on how artificial intelligence is transforming the way we live, think and create.
