So Frenchy So Chic is hosting another iconic festival – Le Grape Escape. And Broadsheet Access members can nab a free double pass to attend on Friday September 5 or Saturday September 6, sampling over 110 French wines curated by Pierre Stock, ex-sommelier of France-Soir.
Stock, along with So Frenchy So Chic’s founder Jean-Francois Ponthieux, worked with boutique French wine importers (many of whom supply top restaurants across Australia) to source and showcase wines from 13 regions of France. You’ll be able to taste impressive drops like the 2023 Clotilde Davenne Chablis or the 2015 Marie-Pierre Chevassu Fassenet Chateau Chalon Vin Jaune.
Hot-Listed French restaurant Entrecote will be popping up too, serving its beloved Mitraillette – a baguette loaded with steak frites and herb butter sauce. Otherwise, browse stallholders selling rich cheese and charcuterie, freshly shucked oysters, macarons and Basque cheesecake.
