Zoe Leonard’s impressive new photography exhibition is showing at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art. We’re giving away 50 double passes.

Critically acclaimed artist Zoe Leonard is a multidisciplinary talent working across sculpture, photography and art installation. Exploring a wide range of social and political themes, her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums all over the world, including New York’s Whitney Museum of Modern Art and the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris.

Leonard’s latest exhibition, Al río/To the River, is a large-scale photographic project that focuses on the Río Bravo/Rio Grande river, which acts as the border between the United States and Mexico. Having photographed the river since 2016, the exhibition comprises hundreds of images, mapping it through the cities of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico through to El Paso, Texas, and the Gulf of Mexico. Using multiple photographic styles, Leonard explores the river’s complex and changing role as not only a natural landmark, but also a site of surveillance and policing.
