We’re giving away two double passes to a Valentine’s Day screening of this captivating modern love story in both Sydney and Melbourne. And you’ll enjoy a glass of bubbles while you watch.

 

To celebrate the most romantic day of the year, Palace Cinemas is hosting a special 10th anniversary screening of Spike Jonze’s Academy Award-winning film, Her, on February 14.

 

Set in a not-too-distant future in Los Angeles, the film follows Theodore Twombly (played by Joaquin Phoenix), a writer who works for an online company that creates handwritten letters. Still heartbroken from his recent divorce, Theodore purchases a personalised AI computer that is touted as the most intuitive technological device on the market. Through it, he meets and falls in love with Samantha, a virtual assistant with artificial intelligence (voiced by Scarlett Johansson).

 

The screening will take place at 6.15pm at Sydney’s iconic Chauvel Cinema and 8.30pm at Melbourne’s Pentridge Open-Air Cinema.
