The historic centre of South Eveleigh is set to transform into a vibrant cultural hub with music, food, drink, art and design events. Access has two double passes up for grabs, with snacks and drinks on the house. 

 

On October 5 & 6, South Eveleigh will host its inaugural Street Party, full of family-friendly entertainment and experiences.

 

On the music front, headline acts include classically trained jazz musician Donny Benet and Aussie singer-songwriter Ngaiire, while the food line-up is packed with some of Sydney’s best chefs and restaurants. There are one-off dishes and takeaway options from Kylie Kwong’s Lucky Kwong; a collaboration with regenerative bar Re and Alex Prichard of Icebergs Dining Room & Bar; and more.

 

For the kids, there’s a special program at Village Square including a Weaving and Cultural Conversation workshop that invites families to connect with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and cultures; immersive roving performances; a community mural activity at the newly opened Anita Gelato South Eveleigh; and a 1980s freestyle aerobic workout.

 

At the heart of the party are two giant inflatable tentacles that will extend from buildings onto Locomotive Street and chalk artistry by local First Nations artist MadWings.
