An immersive multimedia experience, Cao Fei: My City is Yours (曹斐: 欢迎登陆) invites visitors to step into a surreal neon megacity. Access is giving away a bunch of double passes to this exciting exhibition’s opening night. First in, best dressed.

 

Recently voted one of the most influential artists in the world, Cao Fei has documented China’s rapid urbanisation and digital revolutions through her acclaimed films, photography and large-scale installations. Showcased in a retrospective at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Cao Fei: My City is Yours (曹斐: 欢迎登陆) is the largest exhibition of her work ever seen in Australia. 

 

Playfully staged as a vast cityscape, the exhibition sees visitors enter the gallery through a replica of a 1960s Beijing cinema foyer and exit through a yum cha restaurant. Throughout the cityscape, Fei’s art blurs the lines between physical and digital worlds.
