MIFF is returning this August with a stacked line-up of 257 international and local flicks. Over 18 days, experience a whopping 18 world premieres, huge international features, platinum anniversary events, and guest appearances.

The headliners include Holy Spider, which follows a journalist as she descends into the dark underbelly of the Iranian holy city of Mashhad, and Three Thousand Years of Longing which features Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba. There’s also class warfare comedy Triangle of Sadness, the winner of this year’s Palme d’Or – the highest honour at Cannes Film Festival. It even received an eight-minute standing ovation at its Cannes premiere.
