If you’re anything like us at Broadsheet HQ, you’ve been hanging out for MasterChef winner Nat Thaipun’s debut cookbook, Thai: Anywhere and Everywhere for a while now. Since taking out the title in 2024, she’s cooked in some of the best kitchens in the world, including under Clare Smyth and Jamie Oliver in London, hosted pop-ups at the Hot-Listed Baba’s Place in Sydney and the two-Michelin-starred Evett in Seoul, and as part of the award-winning Vue de Monde team in Melbourne.

Right now, Thaipun is fresh off the launch of her best-selling cookbook that’s packed with approachable Thai recipes built for all occasions, from intimate dinners to lively barbeques and everything in between.

And thanks to Broadsheet Access Readers’ Previews, you’re invited to her next takeover – this time at Boon Choou, the hot newcomer to Melbourne’s Thai food scene from three alums of beloved Sydney institution Chat Thai.

Readers’ Preview attendees can expect a special Thai gimlet on entry, before a multitude of dishes inspired by the book, including wagyu beef skewers and freshly shucked oysters with tom kha sauce, finger lime and makrut lime oil. Plant-based options include seasonal vegetables with green chilli relish and watermelon larb tartare. Then it’s on to dessert, with khao niew ma muang (mango sticky rice), coconut sorbet and macadamia crumb.

Signed books will be available for purchase on the night. And you’ll get a chance to hear from Thaipun about how the book came together amid all her post-MasterChef adventures.

To score an Access Invite, it’s first in, best dressed – so set your alarm. The best part? Invites open to annual members 24 hours before the rest, so your chances of attending are good. When it’s time to enter early, we’ll email you a direct link. Make the switch to annual by emailing us at access@broadsheet.com.au today.
