Attend a Readers’ Dinner at Caness, a new Paddington tapas bar fusing Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours. You’ll be greeted with a Gazpacho cocktail before sitting down to a generous set menu.

Caness is opening in a converted Paddington grocer this April, and Access members can be among the first to sample its bold, authentic small plates. Chef Ido Zarmi has created a menu where Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors play in tapas form — dishing up small plates like beef tartare with harissa aioli, seared tuna, and the hearty minced lamb “Sloppy Yosef,” all best shared at the table.

“We believe that great food doesn’t need to be complicated,” says Erez Nahum, owner of Caness. “It’s about stripping things back to the essentials and letting the ingredients speak for themselves.”

Arrive at 6.30pm and be handed a punchy Gazpacho cocktail (mixing vodka, tomato, cucumber and citrus) or a glass of bubbles. Then, settle in for a casual feast with fellow Access members. You can opt to receive matched wines with each course.
