Be one of the first to try Pidapipo’s new Italian dessert destination at an exclusive Access tour. You’ll be shown around personally by owner Lisa Valmorbida and taste new creations in every room.

On November 29, you’re invited to tour cult gelato brand Pidapipo’s new Fitzroy headquarters – days before it opens to the public. Inside, find a gelateria with a rotating selection of exciting, limited-edition flavours, a chocolate shop with small-batch artisanal choccies, and an expanded gelato cake selection. The multifaceted space has been designed so that you can see how everything is made – bringing the back-of-house to the front-of-house – and is a homage to the Italian tradition, where the kitchen is considered the heart of the home. 

At this one-off event, sip on a Campari cocktail before touring the space alongside Pidapipo owner and chef Lisa Valmorbida and Broadsheet Melbourne editor Tomas Telegramma. You’ll be the first to try something from every station – including Neapolitan Bombe Alaska, Banoffee and Pidapipo Roche cake; caramel chocolates, scorched almonds, and truffles; and of course, a scoop of gelato from the new range of flavours. Expect white chocolate and pink peppercorn; Meyer lemon sorbetto; and goats milk yoghurt with Australian saffron. Plus, see how everything’s made and get involved along the way.

Tickets are $45 per person and include an arrival drink, all tastings, and the signature chocolate truffles and praline to take home with you.

There are very limited tickets available across three 30-minute sessions (5.30pm, 6pm and 6.30pm), so don’t miss out.
