Summer Hill is getting a new Italian osteria. Postino Osteria opens its doors this September and Access members will be the first in line to experience the new venue.

From the award-winning team behind Ormeggio at The Spit comes Postino Osteria – ready to launch in the next month. In Italian, postino means a “small but cosy place” but the term covers a range of different venues: a restaurant, a bar, or a place to stand and enjoy casual snacks. Postino Osteria is all these things and more. The new venue, which has snapped up the iconic heritage listed post office in Summer Hill, is destined for greatness in the hands of established Italian chef Alessandro Pavoni. As Pavoni says, “A good neighbourhood osteria is something nobody should be denied”. 

Postino is serving up traditional Italian dishes, and for our Access event, you’ll get to experience a four-course sharing menu. Between courses, you’ll hear from Pavoni himself, as he talks through the concept of the new venue with Broadsheet’s own Grace MacKenzie.
