Want to avoid the crowds at this fascinating new exhibition? At this special event, you’ll get a private after-hours tour with Museum of Contemporary Art Australia curator Megan Robson.

We’re celebrating the opening of the Sydney International Art Series exhibition, Do Ho Suh, with an exclusive private viewing on November 23. The exhibition is the MCA’s biggest (and most popular) event of the year – and this is your chance to see it away from the crowds.

South Korean artist Do Ho Suh is known for his large-scale sculptures and architectural installations, which address the often-complex relationships between the body, memory, and space. This is his first solo exhibition in the southern hemisphere, and will showcase a wide range of multimedia works tied together by themes of belonging, identity and home. The works vary from small, singular household objects to full-scale replicas of domestic spaces and studios he has lived in over the course of his life.

At this special event, start in the gallery’s foyer with drinks and snacks such as spicy chicken betel leaf. Then you’ll hear first-hand insights from Megan Robson (associate curator of exhibitions at the MCA) in an intimate Q&A with Broadsheet’s national editor Sarah Norris. Then you’ll get the rare chance to explore the exhibition at your own pace alongside Robson, who’ll be able to answer any questions along the way.

Just 70 tickets are available to this one-off event, so be quick to nab yours via the link below.
