You’re invited to experience the Marrickville distillery’s new masterclass – on the house – before it launches to the public. 

 

Top distillery Unexpected Guest is launching interactive gin masterclasses in its eclectic new Marrickville warehouse. 

 

The hands-on experience – normally $75 per person – starts with a guided tasting of its house-made gins, paired with sodas, tonics and garnishes. A master distiller will chat about the flavours and distilling process. Guests then learn how to make three inventive cocktails: one that can easily be made at home; a batch creation; and a luxury cocktail you’d expect to find at a New York or London bar. Guests will also have the chance to try limited, unreleased and wackier gins. 

 

You’ll be the first to experience the masterclass at a free members-only event on January 11 – two days before it launches to the public. Unexpected Guest will teach you how to make their twist on an Aviation – using its award-winning Clementine’s American Gin (a lavender-infused gin), Cheery Liquer and creme de violette, served with a Maraca soaked cherry – and two more cocktails. There’ll also be bar snacks, pretzels and nuts to graze on throughout the night.
