You’re invited to a unique culinary experience hosted by a famous Sri Lankan crab restaurant. It’s free for members, but hurry – it’s first in, best dressed. 

 

Ministry of Crab is one of the world’s best crab restaurants, with locations in Sri Lanka, Bangkok, Shanghai, Chengdu, Mumbai and more. After a highly successful pop-up in 2022, it’s finally returning to Melbourne for four weeks only. 

 

Chef Dharshan Munidasa will serve the freshest-of-the-fresh whole mud crabs with fiery black peppercorn dashi and other favourites made with Sri Lankan flavours and Japanese techniques. The menu will celebrate the country’s best mud crabs, which Munidasa flies in live from Queensland and the NT. 

 

To celebrate, Ministry of Crab is hosting a free dining event just for members. Using live crabs to demonstrate, Munidasa will teach you the origins of mud crab, the proper way to store them, and the principles of selecting your crab. You’ll be talked through the cooking process before being treated to a three-course lunch including oysters, three types of crab to share and a tropical twist on a creme brulee to finish.
