An immersive, after dark experience is coming to Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and you can be the first to see it at an exclusive preview night. Access has 25 passes up for grabs – first in, best dressed. 

 

After lighting up in the UK and US, Lightscape is making its Australian debut this month. Head to the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and walk through nearly two kilometres of illuminated winter wonderland. Explore vibrant projections, tree canopies drenched in colour, glowing tunnels, large-scale installations comprising more than 100,000 tiny lights and incredible waterside reflections. Local artists have also been commissioned for city-specific works along the trail.

On the food front, feast on wok-fired sweet corn with lap xuong sausage, braised beef coconut curry or a dessert crepe from the team at French- and Vietnamese-inspired cafe Jardin Tan’s. There’s also loaded nachos from food truck Meat Mechanics, pepperoni and veggie pizzas from Primo Street Pizza, and even a dedicated crème brulee cart.
