Join our next Editors’ Preview night for a behind-the-scenes look at this suave new cocktail bar. It’s the latest venture from Shane Delia, the leading chef behind top Melbourne restaurants Maha, Maha East and Maha Bar.

Jayda is one of this year’s most exciting openings. It’s located on Bond Street, just a few doors down from Delia’s original Maha. You can expect the same innovative flavours, served in a more snack-centric format, and a focus on seasonal cocktails (curated by world-class bartender Orlando Marzo) and exceptional wines. As Delia puts it, Jayda is like “Maha’s thirsty neighbour”.

Be among the first to try Jayda when it opens exclusively to Access members and Broadsheet editors for an Editors’ Preview night on Thursday October 27 – days before its official launch.

Consider this a more casual night than previous Editors’ Previews, with roaming dishes and cocktails served while you mingle. Road-test three of Jayda’s signature drinks – including a highball made with Gospel Solera whisky, fino sherry, green cardamom, lemon and ginger ale – and experience highlights from Jayda’s menu. There will be plenty of interesting meze like Ortiz anchovy toast, and crispy lamb and Aleppo pepper boreks; elevated toasties and a lamb shoulder and toum sandwich; Middle Eastern-inspired mini Magnums for dessert; and more.

On the night, Broadsheet publications director Nick Connellan will chat to Delia and Marzo about the restaurant and drinks list.

There is no table seating at this event, but spots are very limited (two available per member) – so be quick to reserve yours via the link below.

Dietary requests can’t be accommodated.
