Be the first to try Circular Quay’s newest terrace bar, Martinez. At this one-off event, get a taste of Martinez’s menu with a selection of snacks and drinks – and this time it’s on the house. 

 

Located in Sydney’s Quay Quarter Tower, a sprawling open-air bar with a mesmerising harbour view will be unveiled this October. Celebrating the more delicate aspects of southern French cuisine, the menu at Martinez pairs with a variety of lively cocktails infused with a dash of French flair – and an enticing array of champagne, naturally.

 

Curated by the creative minds behind House Made Hospitality’s Lana and Promenade Bondi Beach, Martinez’s menu transports diners to the heart of southern France. The dishes and flavours on the pass at Martinez will pay homage to the classic cuisine of Nice and Provence, enriched by Mediterranean influences. Expect tantalising dishes such as a reimagined “nicoise” made with raw tuna and drizzled with white soy, and succulent grilled scallops served with a decadent oursinade sauce.

 

You’ll be one of the first to experience Martinez when it opens exclusively to Access members for a free Editors’ Preview on September 28 – days ahead of its official opening.

 

On the night, Broadsheet Sydney’s food and drink editor Grace MacKenzie will host a Q&A with Jason Williams to hear about how Martinez came to life and how it’s set to redefine French cuisine.
