Nijinsky is a story of genius, fame and madness – described by The Guardian as “searing, passionate and defiantly queer.” The dance drama is set in 20th century Paris, retelling the tumultuous life story of visionary ballet dancer and choreographer Vaslav Nijinsky. The audience follows him through his troubled childhood, ill-fated romances, sensual performances and battle with schizophrenia.

Vulnerable, urgent performances by Australia’s leading dancers are complimented by the opulent set and costumes, a live orchestra from Opera Australia and (of course) the timeless Sydney Opera House setting.
