The concert embraces Spanish or Spanish-influenced classical music, from Maurice Ravel’s heart-pounding conclusion to Bolero to Manuel de Falla’s rousing The Three-Cornered Hat. Spanish conductor Jaime Martín – chief conductor of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra – guides the orchestra in celebration of French composer Ravel’s 150th birthday.
