Fire, wood and charcoal are at the heart of Poetica, a new 120-seat, light-filled restaurant in North Sydney. On opening night, find yourself among friends and family of the venue as you enjoy first picks of the menu.

The brains behind three of Sydney’s best (The Charles Grand Brasserie & Bar, Loulou Bistro, Boulangerie & Traiteur, and Tiva) have again ventured north. Their latest undertaking is a refined and relaxed bar and grill in North Sydney where Australian ingredients reign supreme. 

Enjoy mesmerising scenes in the 15-metre open kitchen as you study the venue’s brand-new menu. Split into five main sections, and designed with sharing in mind, it features a slow-cooked pork jowl in black garlic and honey glaze with a chargrilled cos lettuce and vinaigrette; Sydney rock oysters topped with 'nduja and a guindilla pepper; and a whole rainbow trout, butterflied and paired with fresh dill, lemon, shallots, and brown butter.
