Ex-Bar Saracen chef and hummus expert Tom Sarafian is back at Cumulus Inc., Andrew McConnell’s all-day CBD restaurant – but only for two weeks. The pop-up is guaranteed to be a sell-out, but we’ve saved you tables on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evening. Better yet, you’ll experience an exclusive menu specially curated for Access members.
Start off with arak (an aniseed spirit), then move onto Sarafian’s chi kofte (raw lamb with ground burghul), Murray cod shish kebabs, lamb fatteh (kofte on fried pita), and a lemon and saffron yoghurt cake.
Your experience includes a dynamic drinks pairing by Cumulus Inc.’s sommelier Chris Ryan (crowned Best Sommelier of Australia by Sommeliers Australia in 2021).
You’ll also get the chance to chat to Sarafian, who will personally introduce the Arabic feast. And at the end of your meal, you’ll get a jar of Sarafian’s famous hummus to take home with you.
Sittings are for two to five people, depending on the session, at 6.15pm or 8.30pm on Wednesday August 3, Saturday August 6 and Friday August 12.
