The team from Shell House has put together one of the biggest hospitality openings of the year – and you can be among the first to taste what’s on offer (inside a private dining room).

Our Editor’s Preview dinners are all about bringing you to the biggest new venues. This time, we’re heading to Sydney’s latest dining destination, The International.

There are three venues inside The International, but we have our sights set on The Wine Bar, a vibrant social dining space with a courtyard, authentic pizza oven, and a stellar list of vino. Best of all, for this exclusive Access dinner, we’ve reserved the private dining space, the 'Seidler Room'.

Guests will start their evening with a complimentary drink on arrival, before taking a seat at the table in the special dining room to enjoy a selection of the best dishes The Wine Bar has to offer, curated by Executive Chef Danny Corbett and Head Chef Courtney Blyde.

Expect to sample dishes like raw beef with beef fat, sherry dressing, mushroom, the spaghettoni with sausage and N’duja ragu, catalina spinach, pecorino, a mackerel crudo with green almond and chilli and more.

Of course, it’s called The Wine Bar for good reason. Head Sommelier Jacqeline Turner will guide you through the wine selection to ensure each bite is paired with the perfect drop.

Head Chef Courtney Blyde and Head Sommelier Jacqueline Turner will also share a Q&A with Broadsheet’s own food and drink editor Dan Cunningham.
