After just having her song *High Beams* used as the soundtrack to unveil the new iPhone 15, Zimbabwean-born, Australian-raised rapper Tkay Maidza is dropping into SXSW’s first-ever Sydney edition for an exclusive performance at Defender House, a venue that doubles as an activation space for the Land Rover Defender electric hybrid vehicle.

The immersive pop-up in the Machine Hall Precinct on Clarence Street will be a hub for tech, innovation, music and more. Inside, guests can explore the Defender collection, including an exclusive preview of the new Defender Hybrid. There’s also a chance to test drive and other sensory experiences. 

Defender House is open on October 19 and 20 during the week-long SXSW Sydney. Maidza plays the Urban by Nature event on Friday October 20, with support from LEE, the 2023 winner of Triple J’s Unearthed High.
