Building on the reputation of the original Sydney restaurant, NOMAD Melbourne has staked its claim as one of the liveliest spots in the city. As soon as you step into the intimate dining room, you’ll spot skillful chefs plating up soulful dishes packed with Mediterranean, Moroccan and Middle Eastern flavours from the open kitchen.

 

Focusing on open-flame cooking and locally sourced produce from sustainable suppliers, the food menu features hearty dishes such as wood-roasted lamb neck with zucchini and gremolata. The wine list – in a similar way – champions bold drops from Victorian growers and producers.

 

Our top picks from the menu are the signature smoked mussels with garlicky toum, piment d’espelette and hash brown; the raw hiramasa kingfish with avocado, finger lime and coriander crackers; and the olive oil ice-cream sandwich with halva, pistachio and honey drizzle.
