Catching a pre- or post-show dinner has always been an essential part of the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) experience. This year, modern Japanese restaurant Yakimono is keeping 20 seats open each night for Access members, with a nine-dish set menu of chef’s favourites.
 

Planning on heading to MIFF?  For the duration of the festival, Yakimono is offering Access members Cinema Setto – an $88 per person set menu that includes an arrival cocktail followed by eight savoury dishes and one dessert. And the restaurant is handily located close to the Forum, the Capitol Theatre and other key MIFF venues.

Plantation 3 Stars rum, Campari, yuzu, pandan, shio koji, lime, salted popcorn

Mains
Edamame and wasabi dip with charcoal rice crackers

Cured salmon with tozasu, pink grapefruit

Dynamite tuna hako with dragon’s fire sauce, crispy chilli

Negi chicken with chicken salt, spring onion oil

Soy sesame pork with spicy plum glaze

Miso salmon with sesame sunflower cream, dashi choy sum

Baby carrots, celeriac, silken tofu, mandarin

Steamed Japanese rice

Dessert 
Yaki wagon wheel: hojicha, sesame, raspberry, smoked macadamia chocolate

Seatings are available every night of the week, plus lunch time. 20 spots available each day. Due to the nature of Yakimono's menu, only pescatarian and gluten-free diets can be accommodated.
